Build your confidence as a youth football coach

The payment for your franchise covers the initial training you will receive as a new franchise owner. We have developed our training syllabus using principles learned from the FA and techniques learned from some of the world’s top football clubs. Through our training you’ll learn to deliver coaching sessions that integrate these techniques. Where possible, our in person training is conducted at The Lensbury, a truly stunning venue and hotel, in Teddington in South West London.

What's included in your franchise fee

The payment for your franchise covers the initial training you will receive as a new franchise owner. We have developed our training syllabus using principles learned from the FA and techniques learned from some of the world’s top football clubs. Through our training you’ll learn to deliver coaching sessions that integrate these techniques. Where possible, our in person training is conducted at our head office in Richmond, South-West London.

Training

We Make Footballers franchisee training programme

As a new franchise owner, you’ll visit us at our training facilities at our head office in Richmond, for 3 days of in-person training. Following that, you’ll also require around 20 hours’ remote training to get up to speed (this can also be completed at Head Office if you wish).

Introduction to Coaching Football

This new online course serves as the foundational element of the FA’s coaching pathway, replacing the now-discontinued FA Level 1 in Coaching Football qualification. The Introduction to Coaching Football course is tailored for individuals seeking to actively contribute to player development and foster a passion for football. The curriculum includes the following topics, culminating in an online assessment:

- Introduction to First Aid
- Introduction to Disability Football
- Safeguarding Children
- Promoting Respect

UEFA C Licence

The UEFA C Licence replaces the outdated FA Level 2 course. It aims to foster a true passion for the game among young athletes. Coaches must complete the Introduction to Coaching Football course, as well as the First Aid in Football and Safeguarding Children courses prior to enrollment. This program integrates both in-person and online learning and encompasses the following components:

  • Understanding players and their game

  • Helping players love and learn football through practice

  • Helping players love and learn football through matchday
